Today's Fast Forward Friday was pulled from an outfit posted in the Archives. My Mom bought me this coral dress a few years ago and I really love the collar on this dress. Today instead of wearing a cardigan like a did in the original post, I decided to sport a blazer and oxfords for an "office look." A structured blazer can give a completely different feel as opposed to a cardigan. I also decided to wear solid colors instead of the prints in the previous post.
If you have followed me on Instagram, you would notice all the red I've been wearing lately. Maybe it's because Christmas is around the corner, but I've been all about cherry lips and nails. Red is such a powerful color so it's important to make sure you aren't overloading your frame by pairing it with other really powerful colors. I like to mix it with a neutral like gray or black. Red, black and white are always a classic combination.
If you follow this blog, you'll notice I love a bright colored bag or shoe. I do like the classic gray or black, but find that I get just as much use out of brighter colors. The key is to dress monochromatic or add it as a colorful accessories.
