Dress: Old Navy // Hat: Random // Sandals: Qupid // Purse: French Connection // Sunnies: Kenneth Cole
I've been spending so much time on the road over the past few months taking full advantage of Summer. There is something about the carefree sunny days that gives me a major travel bug. I try to pack light to keep myself from being overwhelmed over the course of travel. I made the mistake years ago to traveling with a bunch of stuff overseas and I was literally weighed down with baggage over the two weeks I was abroad.
One of the easiest ways to carry less is to bring things that are lightweight (if you are going to a warm climate) and one piece. A dress or a romper packs really easily and for hot months, helps me stay pretty cool. In fact, I can easily throw three dresses in my suitcase and it takes up the same amount of space as a single pair of jeans.
Also I try to pack a swimsuit and pair of denim shorts. It makes it really easy to throw a tank top or sweater on over the shorts and I NEVER leave home without a swimsuit. You just never know if you'll need one. I love this cute little gingham one I bought earlier this summer. I found a few more options below if you are looking for something similar. The same little hat worked nicely to keep the sun off my face while I spent an afternoon hanging out on the shore of the Medina River.
